I hand build cups, plates and jars in the same way I prepare my canvas. Then I explore the relationship between these functional objects and personal narrative.
The visual universe I create mainly comes from my culture and surrounding place. While the tactile universe comes from my childhood memories and the way I used to play with mud.
My ceramic work is also directly inspired from my paintings and illustrations just as my picturebooks and paintings benefit from my ceramics.
